CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS
By james.harrison • Aug 10th, 2009 • Category: General NewsWith one round to go in the Wulfsport British Masters, the PRO MX1, PRO MX2, AMATEUR MX1, AMATEUR MX2 and both the Big Wheel and Small Wheel classes have been decided.
The storming Brad Anderson has taken the overall honours of being the 2009 AMCA WULFSPORT BRITISH MASTER MX1 PRO CHAMPION with another dominating display going 1-1 at Hawkstone Park.
Meanwhile team mate of the PAR Homes Honda Team Scott Elderfield has won with PRO MX2 title ahead, which was close in points, with Barr and Bradshaw still fighting it out for second place.
Stephan Tilliston (No Limits Suzuki) wrapped up the Amateur MX1 title with an excellent second overall at Hawkstone, whilst the prolific Scott Matthia (Doodsons Suzuki) won all four races, continuing his domination wrapped up the MX2 Amateur class.
The impressive Luke Norris took the overall win in the Big Wheel class by taking home two wins on Sunday at the Historic Hawkstone venue. The ever improving Callan Cooper recorded four wins over the weekend to wrap up the Small Wheel class.
The final round at Whitby will be the Championship decider for the MX2R, MXY2, and the new Kawasaki Masters Classes.
Aled Bellis (MXRUK/Trakspares Honda) and Craig Maddock are fighting it out in the MX2R for the overall honours of being the Championship winner. Matt Burrows and Ryan McLean are still in contention for the MXY2 overall.
In the hotly contested Kawasaki Masters, with the overall prize being a brand new 2010 Kawasaki KX 250F, it looks like it going to be a last day decider with 3 riders, Paul Smith, Paul Neale and James Shaw all pushing and fighting hard for the overall prize! Second through to fifth places will win spares budgets courtesy of Kawasaki UK.
