The Amateur Motor Cycle Association (AMCA) have been given permission by the East Lindsey District Council to run Skegness’ first ever motocross beach race in December this year. The impressive mile long stretch of sandy coastline is the perfect place for such competition with the dates being chosen to coincide with favourable tidal conditions to give riders as long as possible racing on this impeccable beach. 

SKEGNESS BEACH RACE ENTRY FORM 

Earth moving equipment will be brought onto the beach during the week leading up to the event and a lengthy circuit built to include some impressive mounds, jumps, waves, whoops, chicanes and fast natural sandy straights! The Eastern Coast line is not new to the motocross beach race scene with local town Mapelthorpe having had small scale beach races on their beach for many years! It is hoped that as well as providing a first class event for riders and spectators, it will also generate welcome business for the seaside resort out of season. The AMCA have been working closely with East Lindsey District Council and the East Lindsey Event Safety Advisory Group to ensure that this event can be held in a manner that compliments the town, supports local residents and brings people to Skegness during the closed season in a safe and responsible manner. 
Whilst ELESAG supports such innovative ventures, their role is to provide advice and guidance to event organisers and to ensure the safety of the communities of East Lindsey and visitors to the area and as such will continue to make recommendations to the event organisers and as individuals undertake such action as necessary to ensure that the event is legal and safe. 

The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday 11^th and 12^th December between tides, other entertainment will be on site for spectators who will be able to watch all of the excitement FREE OF CHARGE. 

Entry fee for the Kids 85/150cc class (age 9 -15 years) will start from just £55 with all other entries including adult solos, quads and sidecars set at £70 in an early bird offer for entries recieved before 10th September. After this date, standard entries will be set at £65 for kids and £80 for other classes. Late entries if can accepted will incur an additional £20 charge. 

Prices will include your entry, hard standing parking and camping, a programme and as many family and friends to spectate as you like! This is the first British Masters Beach Race and promises to be a great weekend, the Skegness townsfolk are really looking forward to the event and are sure to provide a warm welcome! The event will be coordinated by British Masters Race Director; Ken Winstanley and will benefit from a substantial cash prize pot, including a whopping £1,000 top prize in the adult solo class! 10:30am – KIDS 85cc/150Fcc (9-15years) - ONE HOUR 

12:00pm – MX2 Youth (18 and under) – ONE AND A HALF HOURS 

14:00pm – QUADS & SIDECARS – ONE AND A HALF HOURS 

Sunday: 

12:00pm – ADULT SOLO - THREE HOURS

Proppa.com are to be supporting the MXY2 class, a class solely for under 18’s on an MX2 machine. They will be providing a season long loan of a brand new 2011 250F machine along with full apparel and paddock gear to the overall winner and they are not stopping there…. The rider who finishes second overall will receive a full set of race gear, including shirts, pants, gloves, helmet, boots and paddock wear, and third will receive a full set of race gear!

With Kawaskai Motors UK pledging the lease of a brand new 2011 Kawasaki 250F along with a £2,000 spares budget to the winner of the Kawasaki Masters, the 2011 Masters will now be giving out two brand new bikes at the end of the seven round series. With Wulfsport, Kawasaki, Michelin, and Surf and Turf already on board, the recession breaking Masters Series will be the one to watch in 2010! The Ever experienced Ken Winstanley won’t be stopping there on the pursuit of the ultimate British Motocross Championship with more exciting news soon to be announced!

The Amateur Open and Unlimited Michelin Masters classes still have a few spaces at the time of this publication, so get your registrations in quickly for these classes.

The registrations are first come, first serve, so get them in ASAP to avoid disapoitment on missing out on the 2010 Series for the classes still with spaces or to go on the reserve list.

Gordon scored 11th place in the first race, whilst having a DNF in the second. Its great to see Crockard back in action!

Manwhile another returning star, Ray Rowson aboard his CCM, who made his first start since the start of the season at round 5 of the Masters had a 4th place finish the moto 2 after a DNF in moto 1.
